So we’ve decided to keep the old metal building and with some imagination and creativity, turn it into an office space with a modern industrial feel. Admittedly, it’s a big challenge for both me and the architect. Together, we decided the best plan of action was to focus on the use of the building first. We had faith in the old theory that form always follows function.

Heaven in New Zealand

So these pictures were posted on our sister site (The Jalopy Journal) a while back and I’ve been meaning to post them here for a while now. About all I can tell you about these heavenly shots is that they were taken somewhere in New Zealand. That’s all I got… Somehow, however, that’s all you need. Words would almost screw this up.

Atomic Industry World HQ: Part 1

About a year ago, I stumbled upon a little plot of land in a great location and at a better price. I pinched pennies for a few months, sold some things, and did whatever I could to scrape together some dough. Before long, I had enough to make a reasonable offer and was thrilled when the owner accepted. Ever since, I’ve been on cloud nine.

More On Shelving… Ikea?

So I was at Ikea this weekend with the better half. Oh, how I loathe such trips to hell. Not only do you end up spending money, but you go home with a flat box full of particle board and really bad hardware. To be frank, I can’t stand Ikea. I like substance over style and have always felt that function creates form.

The Corner Shelf

So I’m working on a project right now that you fellas will soon hear all about. One of the challenges I’m facing, however, is corner shelving. The situation at hand calls for open shelving for quick access and I need a way to efficiently utilize the corner. My first inclination was to give one of these Craftsman units a shot, but I’m not sold on the looks and outfitting the unit with matching straight shelving could get pretty damned pricey. It got me to thinking… Maybe I should tap you guys. What are ya’ll using in the 90-degree?

Plastic Bins
