I don’t guess I’ll ruin it with words.

It seems like once a year, I get a hankering for a vintage floor jack like a Walker Shorty or one from the “Boy” series. I haven’t pulled the trigger as I’ve yet to find one close enough to make the transaction economically feasible. Still, I yearn…
And this annual yearning gave me the urge to post this… I think we need a vintage floor jack picture thread fellas. Let’s start one here!

So I was farting around on Flickr and found the above photograph. It’s a diorama that was put together at the Indy 500 museum to show a typical 50′s/60′s era workspace found within Gasoline Alley. I find it to be incredibly inspiring… I love the way the workbenches are constructed and detailed, the chain supported task lighting is incredible, and who doesn’t need a chain hoist mounted high and proud?
