I don’t do this very often, but Steve is a buddy and I really dig his passion for this stuff… Anyway, I’ve long had a love for Wolf’s Head Oil stuff. I have one of the original 3′ by 6′ signs that hung in my grandfather’s shop that I cherish and I’ve always wanted more, but they are next to impossible to find. And when you do find them, they seem to always be priced around $1200. Rich.

That’s where Steve comes in. Through Garage Art, he just released a new line of “patina” signs that feature an aged look. And while it might be valid to turn your nose at man made patina, it starts to make a lot more sense when the value of the real thing gets out of hand for a casual admirer.

Small Parts & Supplies

Not mine, but boy do I wish it was… I was told this small parts organizer is from the early 1900′s, but there is no way to be certain. All I can really say is that it’s gorgeous!

The Electric Station

This is absolutely bitchin… A swede designer decided to make an electric work station inspired a 19th-century writing desk. It features a ton of drawers for storing solder, connectors, wire, etc… Plus, space for a built-in computer, a soldering system, and all kinds of other modern niceties. Inspiring.

Lift Lights

I’ve been following this “White Fort” garage build in south Texas for a while now and just noticed some brilliance – flush mount LED lights frenched into the concrete under a lift. I mean, I’ve seen plenty of wall mounted fluorescents for lift lamination, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone do this. Why didn’t I think of that?

Vintage Lift

A friend of mine sent over an email chock full of vintage jack and lift ads. I’ve always wanted one of these old floor jacks, but the right one just hasn’t found me yet. Someday… Until then, these old ads will keep me dreaming.
