Hi all,

Great board you have here !
Browsed around over the last couple weeks and admired the nice spaces you have.

I came here primarily to get ideas for flooring in my single car condo garage (3rd in a row of 4, 2 garages to the left, 1 to the right).

I will most likely go with the motofloor from CostCo, I'm just to scared to mess up with epoxy and don't dare the prep work for the concrete.

The space I would like to cover is 20' 7" long and 11' 10" wide.

With the outlines given I should be fine with 4 packs (48 each) and 3 completer packs.

Of the available 228 tiles and 60 edges I would have 8 tiles over and be 2 edges short which I would hide in the backcorners.
The covered area would be 20' 3.5" long and 11' 3.5" wide and have truly floating look but also little drops at the edges

That solution would cost me $50 more than ordering 5 packs of tile and 1 completer kit and then try to cut the tiles to fit.

Has anybody ever tried to cut these tiles ? Is that possible ?

Any help, suggestions or solutions are appreciated.

Thanks in advance !

Volker

ok, after looking at the pictures again I'm confused.
Looks like all the edges have these little loops. That would mean I can only afix them on the side of the tiles that don't have them, right ?!
Could somebodygive any input for this please ?

Thanks,
Volker

I would contact Race Deck directly, I am pretty sure the edges they have will fit and you can buy one at a time.

my edge kit (from sears) came with two kinds of edges. half were male, half were female, if that makes sense.

btw, i cut the tiles with a jigsaw. the cuts aren't perfect, but are good enough for my purpose. then plan is to cover the edges and gaps with molding at some point.

Thanks guys !
I talked with Racedeck this morning via chat and here is what they told me:

- Edges can be ordered directly from them , even for Motofloor, both variants (male/female) for 1.99/piece
- Cutting is no problem(like froggert said), jigsaw, bandsaw etc.
- Motofloor replacement tiles or in smaller units does not work via Racedeck, motofloor can only be ordered via CostCo.

I think I go with cutting.
According to the planner on racedeck.com I will need 252 tiles and need to cut what doesn't fit. That would be 5 packages of 48 each plus 1 completer kit. I wouldn't have any spares but I would risk that :)
