She actually encourages me to get on the Snap On truck every so often. The dealer in my area is super cool and today while he rebuilt a ratchet for me I decided that I needed this:

The camber rod bolt on the rear knuckle of a C4 Corvette is 24mm... and I just didn't want a raised panel craftsman. I also needed (ordered) a 21mm... should be here next week.

how much snap on 24mm cost you ? 21mm wrench ?
i had craftsman matte wrench and had no problems with it. BUT i dont doing the aligment works because there is aligment tech in my work will do it. so i dont want touch aligment because our aligment computer have defected wires. so he had to go next door which is Mercury/lincolin shop to do with old aligment machine....

Oh... About $40 or so. Now don't get me wrong. I didn't NEED that wrench. A raised panel Cman would have worked just fine. But this one was all nice and shiney.

wow, it is nice. i wonder if did you see FLF80 from your snap on guy? it is worth to try it to see how you feel the mehancial inside ratchet. i paid FLF80 for 95 dollars...
i dont buy snap on wrenches because if i did then i will not own big toolbox like you did saw my picture (KR1200 and KRL1001B).... so i own many craftsman wrenches and they service me good 5 years. all craftsman wrench's open end did spread little but never break or crack.

You are one lucky man! Actually mine is quite supportive as well. Two years ago she gave me a new 17" drill press and 13" planer -- just for the heck of it.
She's a keeper.

How do your women know what the heck to buy you? Or are you just settling with what they give you? My wife has no idea what a 1/2" breaker bar is let alone a 17" drill press.

Funny you should mention that, because I asked her the same question -- apparently she did her homework. The drill press information was gathered by calling several friends in my old-timer car club (they made recommedations and helped her select).
She bought the planer based on answers she received from some helpful gents on a woodworking forum.
She definitely had a good plan.

Oh man, I could never trust the guys on here to steer my wife in the right direction. :)
I'm doomed.

Nope, not if she will listen to you. Years ago when I first married I would take different tool catalogs and circle, mark prices and otherwise highlight different stuff ranging from say $10.00 on up to say $100 then let her choose depending on what cash was available. That was ten years ago and I dont think she looked at even one of the catalogs I marked up. I quit doing it at all after about the first 6yrs, I simply gave up. So I know she tries but I just wish she had listened, it wasn't like I didn't mark plenty of stuff for $20.00 or less! :(

My wife asked me to make a list of tools I want including where to get them, model number etc. She said to make it so she can walk into the store, point to it on the list and tell the man "I want this one." and walk out with it.

I used to do the catalog thing, but I figured out that if I have a document with parts and prices, that I tend to get what I want. I started putting links in to the sites so that she could just clock and order, nice and easy. She doesn't complain about me being too hard to shop for any more.
