$500 USD Snap-On Gift Certificate that I've been waiting to use...I'm finally heading to the USA tomorrow so I can use it (Shawano, Wisconsin for a race) and there's a Snap-On truck parked there all week. Any suggestions? Of course, I don't mind going over $500...just looking for the kind of thing that you wouldn't normally need but is just cool or useful or "good to have". All suggestions are appreciated, thanks!

I prefer ratchets that I cannot get anywhere else, or at least used to be that way, like a 1/2" drive in a 3/8" ratchet handle is a favorite of mine, same in 3/8" etc.. you get the idea. I always go for their drive tools in any drive before anything else. I can make do with most any brand socket, but I love their drive tools! My 2 bits.

...hmmmm. Maybe, given truck tool prices, you could pick up a 13mm socket.

Aw man, a gift card???? You SUCK! Seriously, look at ratchets, as previously stated, but don't overlook things like often used sizes of torx sockets, or screwdrivers.... you know, some single items that you use most frequently.

I'd probably go with some ratchets, too. Maybe a couple screwdrivers. Impacts are always nice, but that will eat up a lot of your $500 fast.
It will depend what you need, I guess.

I'd go for their line wrenches (standard and metric), a set of screwdrivers and a long 1/4" drive ratchet.

K, I'm going to need some convincing on the long 1/4"...in what kinds of situations are they useful?

If you do dash work i recommend 7.2 screwdriver kit with a bit set, they are pricy but it's very strong, the long 0 offset box wrenches are nice too, Long breaker.......

Snap on has one sweet timing light that makes all others look like a flashlight with dead batteries
I would start with any frequently used sizes of bit sockets (Allen, torx, triple square) Snap-on makes these out of some kind of friggin Kryptonite.

3/8 ratchet that has bent handle/flex head. I flat out love the one I got.
