What is the difference between a chop saw and a compound mitre saw?

What is the difference between a chop saw and a compound mitre saw?

A Chop saw is a metal cutting saw and a compound mitre saw is for wood . A multi cutting saw is a metal saw with a metal blade , a chop saw has an abrasive blade.

Wood cutting saws turn a lot higher RMP then metal cutting saws.

Also mitre saws can do fancy conner cut

Miter saw = wood
Chop saw = steel

The two are not interchangeable. At least, not for very long.
