Has anyone tried a set of the Craftsman Crossfire wrenches. If you don't know what I'm talking a bout it's a wrench that has a 90* offset forged into it.The box is 90* out from the open end.It supposedly gives you a better flat to push against for high torque applications.Anyone got a review before I buy a set?

I haven't tried them - but I wouldn't buy them. To me, it's just another gimmick to sell wrenches. Besides, with the ends perpendicular to each other, there may be clearance issues in tight areas.

I wasn't sure what you were describing until I saw the picture. It is more or less a twisted combination wrench. I imagine the only benefit would be to prevent the wrench from biting into your hand, but would possibly flex more, due to the narrow section rather than the wide section taking the force.
Do you think they would be a problem to store in a drawer or do they come with a special holder?
I wouldn't buy them because I wouldn't be able to hook two combinations together to increase my leverage. Other than that I guess they look ok.

These have been discussed here ad nauseum. Do a search and you'll get plenty of reading. The general concensus seems to be "why?".

That question can be asked of more than one Craftsman tool.

Crossforce not crossfire. Crossfire is what happen in a popcorn field and such relaited battles.

i have too many wrenches and i cant afford to buy other same wrenches as it just twist handle 90 degree so it is better for your hand. i just use rag to push the wrench.

I just bought the non-ratcheting set of SAE and Metric Crossforce wrenches on the Craftsman Club sale.
I haven't had chance to use them yet, but I'm going to put them to the test soon. Just monkeying about with them, I really like them.
We'll see how useful they are.

I saw the same thing and the first thing that came to mind was the "Crossfire Injection" engine on the 1984 Corvette.....

My wife's grandfather had a crossfire engine in his Buick when he mixed up the plug wires.;)

Is there a Craftsman Crossfire ratcheting Whitworth set?

Yes, it even has a built in digital clock and pencil sharpener. It will be in stores in november-just in time for the holiday giving season.
