Ok, so God knows how long ago, I sent some tools to SK to get warrantied. I got them all back WAY more than 2 weeks later.

Anyway, An extension, a set of extensions and an impact swivel.

The impact swivel is Fine, wouldnt hesistate to buy them, but the extensions are bent!! Its slight, but it still shouldnt be! Not to mention crappy knurling. The Warpage isnt huge but Its still noticeable, and It shouldnt be on an 80$ set of extensions! WTF????

Anybody else noticed this?

I would call S-K customer service and politely explain the situation. I needed a retaining clip for an S-K ratchet so I called them. I was connected to a real person immediately. I explained what I needed and also asked for a repair kit for a ¼” drive ratchet to have on hand in case I need it. They ended up sending me three ratchet repair kits and three rebuild kits. If you have the warranty paperwork that came back with it when you call it may help.

Same sentiments here. I called SK, talked to a real person and they warrantied some stuff for me. The ONLY complaint that I could have is that the shipping took longer than a week, but the tools that they sent were brand new. And excellent quality. Jim, I would call and talk to somebody.

Proto has the same warranty deal.
Mac tool's has the best deal, 1-800-mac-tools. You tell them what you need then they mail you a Fed-Ex Label. You have your stuff in about a week.
If the tool is not that exspensive they will just send you the new tool.

BTDT with MAC. I am not a huge fan of their tools, but their warranty system kicks ass.

Cool. I just bought a bunch of Mac stuff!

What qualifies for a warranty replacement with Mac? Dechrome? Slight damage to the open end? what have you gotten away with?

The guy that made your tools must have been the same guy that made my wrenchs...but I'm sure you remember that!

Someone else has now been bitten by the SK bend...

Honestly, I had a MAC flexhead ratchet that was "floppy." And old. I bought it used (at a pawnshop - don't tell anyone). I sent it to MAC and they sent me a brand new one. I guess they are serious with this "customers for life" thing. I don't like their tools that much, but based on their service, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a MAC tool.

Another good thing is if you call Mac and ask for rebuild kit's for their ratchet's they will send them to you no problem.
