What do you think of this for $30? That's the smallest I can find, 5" over length.

Normally I don't have much faith in the HF air tools, but I have another central pneumatic "professional" 1/4" air ratchet, all metal ones, it's dimension is identical to IR's version, they don't seem that bad, have an inlet filter too like the more expensive ratchets.

What's more disturbing, some of their air tools have a circle that almost look like chicago pneumatic CP sticker meant to go on it or something.

For $30 thats not a bad price, most of my air tools are Asian and I never had any issues with them so far. They are not used every single day like the tech's on this site do, I'm just a guy who uses them when ever I get a chance to get into the garage

I do have my eye on a air ratchet now and maybe one day it will be mine

I've always sort of liked the looks of these:

which is a bit bigger, I admit. They also have a cordless, 9.6V, bitsy impact wrench (well, 2).

What I wish somebody built was a really small impact that was corded...maybe with an external power supply to keep the handset size down. Air compressors make me crazy.

It looks like the body is "fat" which could be a problem. I have an IR mini 1/4 inch and for 80$ its been good so far. Matco sells an even smaller one for about 120$, but the IR seems to fit everywhere I ask.

If you only want to use it once and then throw it away, go for it. The odds are, it won't last much more than that.
