Paramount swapmeet is between the 91 and 105 fwy, its on my way to LAX so I stopped in for a quick look this morning. $4 preferred parked, free in the boonies, $2 each to get in, and guessing this pays for the security that was all over the place.

Nothing special in tools, mostly long time sellers of used items, as well as plenty of vendors for new shoes, socks, and several places selling cheap work clothes, like 12 year old Dickies stuff. A good dozen spots selling mostly or a lot of tools, but none of the "good" stuff like snapon, more Stanley, no name Taiwan or Chinese, with a bit of Craftsmen. Only thing I bought was an old kinda worn Proto 5449 1/2" drive ratchet for $6, seems to work fine, but looks like its been used for 100 years.

Cypress college is next on my list for next weekend, but GoldenWest and Orange Coast colleges seem the best so far.

Maybe I misunderstood. I assumed they were 12 year old NOS Dickies. Newer Dickies will not last 12 years, in my experience.

I have some overalls - Carrharrts - that were my grandfather's. They have to be at least 45-50 years old. Any cooties have long since expired.

I don't wear them, though, as he was about a foot shorter than I am...:lol_hitti

Yeah I would, heck I even kissed a girl once.

My wife doesn't like me buying used clothes, she won't do it, but I've bought suits from Goodwill, used stuff off ebay. Good older Dickies used is almost as expensive as new stuff at Walmart, but some of it is MUCH better quality, heavier grade fabric. Even so Dickies new stuff wears better than most anything else.

These Dickies had a LOT of experience, but shirts and pants were like 4 for $10, the sort of thing I considered to buy if I had some really dirty job to do, painting, that sort of thing.
