Hi,

I'm looking for some screwdrivers, sizes 1/16", 3/32", 0.050"... my first choice was Wiha, but I noticed that they've only got the PicoFinish ones in those sizes...

Can anyone recommend me some screwdrivers in those sizes?

Thx.

Small screwdrivers, good ones at least, seem to show up in specific repair genres like gun smithing tools, camera repair, watch repair, etc.

I have been pretty satisfied with the "Kronus" micro stuff from Radio Shack.

Go figure.

I was thinking the same thing as Will. I have a set from Radio Shack as well. Any time I have ever needed a very small screwdriver, my set from Radio Shack has provided the answer. They have some great sales on them during the holidays.

The trick with little screws seems to be to exactly as possible fit the slot in both dimensions, so you can end up with a LOT of screwdrivers if your serious.

How true.

How many minuscule sizes of hex and Torx drivers can there be? Working on modern laptop computers is akin to neurosurgery.

Hex and Torx have a finite number, smallest Torx is what about a T3, and hex has maybe 3 or so sizes below 1 mm?

Small blade screwdrivers not only have different widths, but different thicknesses. In watch repair they sell sets to match various brands of watch, apparently the oddball sizes are at least standardized within brands.

I have a wiha set down to T3 but have not had use for it yet. I think I read somewhere recently that someone is offering a T1.

Exactly! Now if I only had their phillips equivalent...

Holy cow, I never knew they had replaceable tips, wow :)
