View Full Version : Yes another idea
In the member list put #'s next to each person....basically a ranking....kinda like an example would be I would be member # 42 even though I am not....of course this would work for people that like to post a trillion times a day like myself so we know what rank we are in terms of total posts hahahaa
Just a simple idea

You can sort the "Posts" column.
You can sort the "Posts" column.
Oh i know that.....but to figure out what your member # is....is a pain

If you want to tell what your member number is, put your cursor over your name in one of your posts and look at the very bottom of the browser page. Your number shows up there at the end of the line.

Uh yea duh on my part....I hear its unhealthy for a person to do the obvious...shortens your life span.....looks like I will die tomorrow :lol_hitti :willy_nil

That number is your member #, not your order in the number of posts per user.

Right, but I did see on camryforums.com a posting chart. I don't know if it's an automatic type or if it's put up by an administrator. I've contacted an administrator to find out. I would think that vBulletin could answer the question as to whether or not they could provide the chart.
Just my 2 cents.

I just got a reply from the admistrator of the Camry Forums and he says that the posting chart is automatic.

I think it shows up on the home page, but I have it set up here to not show the normal home page and just go straight to the forums. I've always thought home pages were kind of cheesy and just make you have to click another button to go to the forums.

There really is no reason for a home page since we are strictly a forum only....I could understand if a magazine or a manufacturer of something was running this page to use a homepage....but in this instence....its not worth it

The other issue with post counts is that people do foolish things to boost their count, artificially inflating their importance.
