12/26 Ace hardware 50% off any 1 item up to $100

I got a big red postcard from Ace hardware yesterday in the mail, 50% off any one item up to $100 on 12/26. Excluding building materials, and "whatever items individual stores decide", but otherwise looks pretty good unless they exclude tools, or say something really cheesy like Xmas items only in the store.

Kinda sounds too good to be true, have they done this before?

It does say "with this coupon", and while it came in the mail, it was part of the "bundle" of stuff, not addressed to me specifically. Participating stores were in CA and AZ on my coupon.

I've had coupons like that from them before. Not sure if it was 50% off but it was a decent amount.

You can also get other coupons throughout the year by signing up for their Rewards program. Every dollar spent earns you specific dollar amount coupons for the store. I want to say you get 5 bucks for every 250 spent so it isn't that great of a deal but it does add up if their the only game in your town and you have to use them.

ACE sells Gealwrench, if i remember correctly... If you can find one of the full sets of ratcheting wrenches might be a good use of that coupon... :)

Sorry I didn't get a scan up, but the scanner was not being cooperative and the coupon was originals only.

Signs were up in various parts of the store, no Baldwin, no building materials, no power tools, and not much left between $25 and $100 because ACE doesn't have sets of many things, just individual items. After a LOT of looking, I found a bottle of Lock Ease I had been looking for, and narrowed possible items to use the 50% off coupon on to a small set of Irwin or Alden bolt extractors. I ended up getting the Alden Micro Grabit set of 3, 4, 5, and 6mm extractors for $23 with the coupon.

It sure cleared the shelves of old merchandise
