View Full Version : O'Reilly Tools
have read with interest the thread on the napa brand tools - what does o'reillys do? - do they resell brand names? - i know they have at least some house brands (e.g., Super Start car batteries) - who makes their private label stuff for them? - thanks, ed!

I am a big fan of O'Reillys. Of Autozone, Advance Auto, and Pep Boys, O'Reillys is the only place left that sells made in USA tools (LISLE, KD, etc.)
Here is an old link when we discussed O'Reilly's http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7704
A few months back I bought a set of KD Axle Nut sockets (Made in USA) from them for $64.00!!
You may want to ask what tools they have for sale in their tool loan department. This is where the good USA made stuff is, and it is sold at a discount. I know they had a few more sets of these at their central warehouse when I bought it.

I got at a great price because they had a tool loan program, and you basically bought the tools, if you returned them, then it was a loan.
I have had great service from them as well.

O'reilly's is about the only place I have to go around here (besides NAPA). FWIW, I have never been dissatisified with the tools I have bought from there. And like Blacknwhitepit said, their service is great. It also helps that when I am really in a bind, my dad has a business account there that I can charge to. I work about 20 minutes from home, and I prefer to go to the store in the town I work, but its nice having another one along the way home. Typically, if the store in Weatherford doesn't have what I need, Clinton does. My father-in-law tells me he's SOL in the city with Autozone since they won't just hold the part for him if there's one left at another store, but they can ship it to that store for him to pick up the next day.
Like I said, I love O'reilly's.

Currently O'Reilly's is the only place I will send my wife for parts and tools. Service that she comes back with the right part and the right tool. Lisle for example vs the crap one.
Gates belts vs unknown.
That says alot.

Another Oreilly fan here, I get good service plus a steep discount on many items I buy there; I also have an account with them that will allow me to pick up parts if I am in a jam and have no dough till payday!

I use O'Reilly all the time. I have an account there and they deliver to my shop at the house. They also have a big paint store about 30 or 40 miles away from me. I can call and get paint and body shop supplies from them and my local store will have it delivered to their store then bring it to my shop.

I did not know they would deliver to the house, I may have to try that sometime!
