I'm replacing another stapler that failed the 20' drop test on the 5 try...I'll probably get another craftsman easy fire stapler. It's not the heaviest duty, but it's hasn't failed until I broke it, and it's lightweight. For any heavy duty stapling I use my air stapler anyways. The last 2 Arrow t50's I've had were junk. Anybody had luck with Stanley staplers or can recomend another brand?

I'm almost embarassed to say how many we have... 2 Arrows, an Easy-fire... but the one that gets the most use now is the corded electric one I bought for installing 10" thick insulation batts in the garage joists over head, may not be the best for contractor-use, but man it made the project almost enjoyable.

Both of mine - a staple gun and a hammer tacker - are Arrow models.

I like my PowerShot.

I have an electric Craftsman but still usually use the PowerShot for it's ease of use.

Have the Arrows gone downhill?

I have a T-50 I bought 10-11 years ago and haven't had any problems with it.

One of the nice things about the PowerShot shown above is that the force is applied towards the staple (in the front) whereas a typical stapler is done from the back. This makes it very smooth and easy to drive a staple.

I second the Powershot, I love mine but those electric ones are nice if you are going to be doing a bunch of staples.

You know it. I have that photo hanging in my office at work. At least it's a boiler room and not a basement.

What is the significance of that photo?

The older Arrow t50 seem to be better, my dad still has his from 25+ years and it works.

The Powershot design is very similar to the easy fire...

That pics is from "Office Space" the dude a nut who will only use Swingline red and they make him stop and put him in a basement...so he burns the building down.

Sears has one in tomorrow's ad for $12.99, reg. 19.99. Use the $5 coupon that is linked in the other thread and get it for $7.99. Part # 68517 in case you want to look at it on their site.

I've had all Bostich staplers and have liked them very much. Well made, and hold up to abuse. Bostich is now owned by Stanley, so I don't know how they are.

"Large grains of salt".
"I'll take my traveler's checks to another resort".
"I could put Strychnine in the Guacamole".

On topic...I have a T50-derived insulated stapler for cabling (T58?) and have no complaints other than the staples are expensive and can be hard to find locally.

The red Swingline in my office has never jammed.
