Has anyone ordered tools from the website www.powertoolbox.net ?
They have alot of nonmainstream brands. They list their prices in dollars and euros. I think I saw a commercial for them on the Speed channel.

Search engine and hierachical menu needs some work.

I ordered some Williams wrenches from this company. I placed the order after Christmas.
About a week and a half later, after no shipment, I emailed to check the order status. I was told there were holiday delays at Williams.
Curiously, the VERY NEXT DAY, I received an email with tracking number, stating that my package was shipped.
I received the wrenches, but the finish was not what I ordered. They were high polished chrome finish, NOT the satin finish listed on their website, or in the Williams catalog (which is what I ordered).
The rep emailed, claiming that Williams satin finish is supposed to look that way. I know for a fact this is not true, because I own Williams satin finish wrenches (same model and part numbers).
Anyway, I'm still in the process of resolving this.
I had previously sent some emails to this company with questions, but they were never answered. That should have been the first warning sign.

I've noticed that they don't seem to have a physical address any where on the site. At least anywhere that's easy to find. Always makes me a little leery. But I'm doing a test order of the Williams screwdrivers. I can't pass those up!

Bump.
Didn't think to search the board for this place, found this thread by google.
No physical address is troublesome so I did a "whois" on the domain.
powertoolbox.net : no useful whois information, but the url redirects to powertool-box.net.
powertool-box.net has useful info. Registered to C.H Reed Inc of Hanover, Pa.
C.H Reed looks like a long established company with branches in Pa, Md and Va. Don't know why they wouldn't want to use a 50 yo name to back a sales channel.
Anyway, did any of you guys get your issues resolved. Was the company worth ordering from?

I did a test order for some WERA, still waiting, been a week. I have not tried contacting them yet, which from what others say will just be a waste of time anyways.

I had my first and last order with them a few months ago with some screwdriver purchase.
Took forever to get them with all kinds of lame ass excuses...
Avoid them unless you enjoy headaches.

Thanks guys, I'll take a pass on them. If you're having trouble in the lower 48 I don't want to think about the headache I'd get trying to ship to Canada.

Finally came in just over 2 weeks, shipped from some third party wholesaler in Pennsylvania. As I guessed, the toolbox is a work in your underwear "business" at someones house that never touches the tools.

I buy from DYNAMITE TOOLS in NY. They are fast on their delivery.
I ordered this pex stapler to hold down my pex tubing, (much cheaper than the wire mesh.)

I should have read this first. Dangit!
I told my wife I wanted some screwdrivers for my birthday and gave her a link to the powertoolbox.net site (Williams Hard Handles).
They're not here, and now either she has to deal with them, or I just sit back and wait?
Grrrrr.

It took me some time to get mine (and they since changed the site to show in stock). I was told they had a backorder, as the factory that produced, one of the screwdrivers was far behind. I would ask them for a timeframe.

I'm still awaiting my Williams screwdrivers. The price was good but apparently they don't stock what they claim is "avail". They're awaiting shipments from Williams who's way behind so they say.
They also charged my cc upon order vs. shipment which isn't common these days.
They have been responsive to email though.
We'll see.

Still waiting here. Agree they have been responsive to email. However they have not been proactive in providing a status.
I called and left a VM today. Wondering what / if I'll hear anything.

Just got the call back. +1 on Customer Service.
Story: I wasn't on the "update list" about these screwdrivers. Also got the same story as wantedabiggergarage about one of the screwdrivers in the set being behind. Also that there are 40+ people that are waiting for these sets.
Here's where it gets interesting. The story continued that the JH Williams rep told powertoolbox.net that since JHWilliams is a snap-on owned company, and that since snap-on is having a lot of success selling similar screwdrivers that snap-on pulled rank and said "anything your printing JH Williams on, STOP and start printing snap-on."
I did not let on, argue, or otherwise bring up that snap-on doesn't sell hardhandle screwdrivers anymore. I just let it go.
Supposedly going to ship March 9th. I left my order stand. Will see.
