I am still looking for a good box to add to my collection. It seems that people can never post the exact part# since a search never results in anything. It is claimed to be a KR 537. Doesn't this need to be a KRL or KRA depending on whether or not it is heritage or master series? I see some stainless on the front and the edges so is it a master series? Here are the pictures. What should I pay for this in good condition, a few scratches?

Thanks for the reply. The asking price is $225. I am guessing this is a 90's box? I think I may offer the guy $175 cash and see what he does. I am running out of storage and my old SO box needs some work before I can use it.

The mid-section was a KR547B

And the roll cab was a KR557F

It is looking like this model is not BB slides. Still a good quality box I'm sure but I thought it had BB drawer slides. You guys think its worth it for frictions?

Yes and I think you'd be surprised by how nice they slide.

Well I finally got an email back from the guy. "Sorry its sold". Seems I can never be fast enough on these CL deals...

I found a box on CL this week, and called within 15 minutes of the listing. The seller said that he already had someone that wanted to come look at it on Friday. I said that I could be there in 30 minutes (Wednesday). He told me that he had to wait till the other guy came 2 days later, and that he would call me. He called back 5 minutes later, after talking to his wife. She told him to sell to the first person that showed up. I went there the next day, and picked up the box, and some other tools. The early bird gets the worm. If you have to think about the purchase, then by the time you decide, it will be gone, because someone like me is ready and willing to commit to buying.

Yeah, that was the mistake, e-mailing and not calling. In the e-mail I asked when I could come look at it to try and show I was serious. He took forever to return the e-mail though. I should have called and said I would be over. I avoided this since he didn't give an exact location therefore I wasn't sure how far he was. It is my own fault I missed it though. So, how many boxes do you have junk? Did you ever get any of your older SO boxes restored? If so I would love to see some pics. I am working on restoring mine right now and need some inspiration. Stripping and priming is slow but I think it will pay off with a unique garage piece.

Uh oh, this one was just posted on my local CL. I think it is way overpriced though. It has to be as old as my other box, late 50's.
