I just bought a Snapon TUAM6E, and I am still looking for the TMUBS8 (cheaper than truck priced) and since it was mentioned in another thread I thought I would point out what the differences are between the tools. The TUAM6E is a stubby, very short from the joint to the tip of the tool.

It is odd they don't show the length specs. I ordered one from my dealer this week, so if you want update/message me in about a week or so, I might be able to tell you. I figured since I can use any bit, the clearance doesn't look that much greater (if it even is) between the two to justify buying a dedicated universal.

TUAM6E is 38.1 mm overall.
TMUBS8 is 1 7/16" long, which is 36.5 mm.
Put in a bit though and its substantially longer.

My understanding is that the TUAM6E was made to get at the water pump bolts on some model of Mercedes Benz.

Ohhhh, it's good for German intakes overall as well ;)

Main reason I bought the TUAM6E is that a 6mm hex is pretty much the key to a Porsche, so I buy every variation that I come across.
