Presently rebuilding a Wells band saw that I got for free, and can't find any information on the gearbox and bearings for the blade guides.
Can I just use standard style ball bearings?
The gear box has been leaking oil from around the input pully area. Should there be a seal between the pully and the case?
What type oil should be in the gear box?

Might try contacting the manufacturer. I'm willing to bet the thing uses standard bearings and seals. That looks like a wood blade, or a meat cutting blade (wells mad meat cutting vertical bandsaws)

Use the above link and then go to the wellsaw link ( they claim to be a sister site , but more like a brother /son site) go to the service page and then to the manuals page it's listed at the top as a PDF of the parts on that machine made way back in the dark ages:-)

That one is a metal cutting band saw... makes you wonder what that blade was doing on there
