FWIW, I can't remember if this was posted before, but the store is closing and the tools are 20% off, some things 40% off.

Lot of good power tools available, single sockets, pro screwdriver sets, lots of air tools, shoot I wish I took pics. It's a bit of a madhouse, as you can imagine. I got a 5lb fire extinguisher for $21, a craftsman 2 lb deadblow hammer for $22, some nice metal drillbits black zinc? coated for $10, a set of 4 offset screwdrivers for around $7, a 3 pc drum brake kit for $22(ouch), some gloves for $10, thats all I can remember.

Doesn't sound too good that Craftsman is losing another venue.. especially somewhere as busy as L.A.

Yeah it's too bad, but I think that store has had its time, and I'm sure the real estate aint cheap.

I always went there cuz its convenient and they have one of the biggest parking lots I've seen in Hollywood, but it was really old and hardly anybody speaks english.

It was kinda a time warp goinng to sears that looked like it was when I was a kid though :)

The place is totally third world circa 1950.

Another local Sears, located in an odd area, is the big Sears east of downtown on Olympic. But unlike the Hollywood Sears, and despite the fact that the buidlding looks abandoned, it's tool center is one of the best I've seen. Large, well stocked, organized, clean and a pretty good staff.
