Answer to your question:

But then I noticed that this:

http://www.tooled-up.com/Product.asp?PID=139570

Looked a lot like this:

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=96782

Especially in the handle department. Actually, the finish on the HF one looks to be a little better. That draper seems pretty steep at $49.88....

That is not a challenge, Plus I have had those and I passed them on to my cousin. If I wanted a Mac ratchet I would grab one on Friday when I make my weekly payment.

If you want something unique but, durable, have you considered the Italian made Beta ratchets?

I don't own any but they look different

Stahlwille Ratchets arent as good as you would hope they would be....ALOT of play in the teeth....very cheaply made.......On the other hand...sockets TOP NOTCH

Dont waste your money on the Stahlwille

So, how are the Hazet compared to the Stahlwille?

I've only handled one Stahlwille ratchet, but the quality of it was second to none. All the machining tolerances were very tight and it felt like quality stuff, to me at least.

I couldn't disagree more. My 512 and 515 ratchets feel as though you could hang a truck from one end without stripping the teeth, and have as little play as a Snap-on. Stahlwille certainly isn't cheaply made, anywhere across the range !

They aren't my favourite ratchets, but that's only because I favour palm control over a traditional head.

Porsche shop I go to has a Stahlwille and Hazet dealer that stops in, but they don't use the ratchets as far as I can tell.
