Ok, I've just spent the last 3 hours reading previous posts on these two box manufacturers, so cut me some slack with this post.:lol_hitti

I'm needing a bigger/newer box and have narrowed my choices down to either the International USA box from bobstoolsnet (42" with side cabinet) or the Waterloo TRX5213 with the top.(asedeals)

I like the idea of the International USA box with the side cabinet, and the price.

Anyone with experience/comparisons who have seen both of these boxes with some pros/cons to help me make my decision?

Need to decide soon; stayed up way too late tonight with the thread search and will want to get the purchase going soon.

Checked craigslist and escambay for some SO/MATCO with no luck. They are crazy out of my price range.

Now for some sleep...:lol_hitti

They are pretty similar in the most part. Personally I like the waterloo box because of the latch system they use. However, international boxes are usually powder coated whereas waterloo are just baked paint.

You might look at Craftsman too, because they are made by Waterloo; many times you can get a box that is VERY close or the exact same thing Waterloo makes for it own line; for quite a bit cheaper. Just a thought, might be worth checking out and you can save money if it is delivered to the store (free shipping).

I have import International and love it. One question, are you sure a 42" is big enough, or are you limited by space? I'm asking because the 56" international bottom box had damn near the same space as the 42" combo...plus it leaves you room to upgrade and by a top later.

Do you have a Sam's Club near you? If I had to buy another box right now it would be the stainless steel box they have. I don't recall the brand but it's a real nice box for the money, less than $700. I think Costco may have one too.

Are they using that Grip-Latch set up like the Craftsman boxes?

Yes. Grip-Latch is the name Craftsman calls the Waterloo latching system.

Same boxes, different name.

I would recommend the Waterloo. I recently purchased their Traxx 5200 combo roller tool cabinet.. The boxes are overall well made with a terrific paint job. All the drawers have smooth operating ball bearing slides that fully open. And come with precut drawer liners. Plus I’m beginning to like the Posi_Latch drawer system. Overall a good value..

In the past Automotive Service Equipment had the best prices on Waterloo tool boxes. The end of last year I purchased the top and bottom set for just under $2,000.00 that included all shipping costs. They since had a rather large price increase, so they may not offer the lowest prices today.

Anyone know who makes the boxes for MATCO or Cornwell?
