I got the chance to pick up a KR100A box for around $1300 from a local shop.
Need opinions about this box as far as price and construction.

It's used of course with typical scratches, but not hacked up.

Should I jump on it? Never have owned a SO box before...

also, I guess moving this on the back of a pickup is out of the question:lol_hitti

That box is built like a tank. My old Snap-on catalog says the net weight is 675lbs. I'd say a roll back is the way to move it. The price doesn't sound too bad, I'd be more comfortable at $1000 from the general description you offered but $1300 is very fair for a box of that size and quality if it is in good overall condition.

The KR1000A is built-to-the-hilt. I'd say if it doesn't have any major dents in it, get it! You'll love that box.

Craiglist is a good place, I got my KRL1003 with stainless top, in nice condition for $1300 off of craigslist.

I have 2 of that kr 1000a now, and I love em. BUT
I think that $900 is my max for that box, UNLESS it was cherry, with liners, keys, etc. I think that box is almost 20 years old now.
