Anyone Make A Cheaper Version Of This?

I really like the design of this air-powered, long-neck cut-off tool:

It would be much easier when I find myself using a cut-off in tight places.

This particular brand is pricey. Does anyone make a cheaper version with the same basic concept?

It's the long shaft that's getting it into those high-end pneumatic tool companies. It's basically a long shaft right-angle pneumatic grinder with a cut-off wheel guard. On that particular grinder though, they've got the trigger grip rotated 90 degrees to facilitate a more comfortable posture while using it in that position.

You're not gonna find it at China-Freight. :D

Thanks for the help, SpiderGearsMan, but you're thinking of a completely different tool.

I'm looking for a cutoff tool where the wheel is at a different angle. The tool you have linked is a die-grinder with a longer shaft.

BTW, compared to Snap-On, every other tool's price looks reasonable.:lol_hitti

I'm amazed people even buy Snap-On's air tools. Why not just buy Ingersoll-Rand? Ingersoll is top notch, it's usually one-third the price, and has the same 1 year warranty.

My guess is all of Snap-On's air-tools are just re-badged anyway.

just pointing out that you can spend more money , hell , this tool is like 80 bucks cheaper than my head porting die grinder , that gets used daily , gots me a big drawer full of snap on , blue point , ingersoll air tools , most of my snap on stuff is over 20 years old and never gave me a problem , when I get my tax refund , I'm gonna buy the cool cut off wheel

Snap-On's air tools are an absolute rip-off. You really have to be a Snap-On fanboy to pay those kind of prices. I'm sure they're high-quality, but they're not worth a 400% price premium over brands like Ingersoll-Rand. If anything, I would bet Ingersoll make a better airtool than Snap-On. Th tools I've had made by them are all top notch.

I could understand if Snap-On's air tools carried a lifetime warranty, but they only have a 1 year warranty.

You can never have too many air tools; being able to reach for a tool, for any and all situations; is the ULTIMATE POWER TRIP! Having the right air tool to quickly, efficiently and correctly do the job is awesome! BAM, you done! If you are making money with your tools; these babies make you money and for the flat raters; beat that rate! I love air tools! :bounce:

For all the price conscious " I don't like Snap-On air tools they are too expensive"; I have gotten everyone of my Snap-ons at pawn shops and have never paid more then $50 for each and every one of them!

Same here. Oh well... I'll stick to the Snap on hand tools.
