i'm eyeing the 20 piece screwdriver set for $20, the three piece cman pro locking pliers for $25, and the cman pro wire striper for $8. do you guys think those are good deals or should i wait for the prices to go lower?

I own the C-Pro Locking Pliers and $25 is about the most I would spend on them. They're only so-so.

For a service cart, you can't go wrong with the Craftsman 2-Drawer Deluxe Mechanic Cart
Sears item# 00959355000 Mfr. model# 59355

Heavy duty and well made. I got one during the last time they were on sale.

Those wire strippers are a good deal even at full price. They are made by Stride Tool/ Milbar. You will like them. I think there is a $10 off Craftsman tools coupon for June in the calendar. It should work with the club discount but "your mileage may vary" at Sears these days.

The 10 piece 1/2" drive 6 points sockets for $15 seem like a good deal. I also don't remember seeing Hansen trays cheaper, maybe I can finally pick some of those up.

If the Craftsman 34572 (http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00934572000P) was 6pt, I'd probably pick it up for $15. Makes no sense to me why they don't offer the large size set in 6pt.

Through the years I have noticed time and again that Sears always seems to push 12pt sockets hard, and I think it has gotten even worse in recent years! I notice in recent times they seem to offer 1/2" sockets broken up into two groups like 7/16"-3/4" which I guess would appeal more to non-serious wrenchers, then to go from like 3/4" on through 1&1/4" or thereabout you buy those seperately. I guess so their stuff appeals to the masses. :headscrat

I'm thinking the 1/2" 6pt sets for half off, the Hansen trays, and pry bar set might be looking good.

Don't forget to check the calendar coupons, I think one is $10 off $50 for this month.

I will prob pickup a set of metric line wrenches, torx set, and maybe a set of metric hex sockets set as well.

I signed up online for the club a couple of weeks ago. I've not received any info, not even a basic membership notification. Is this standard for the C-man Club?

The website has a number you can call - I'll bet you could get your number without having your membership card yet.

I got my card a few weeks after signing up. After several months without getting a flyer, I called the number and the girl added me to the list. Seems like I wasn't buying enought and they took me off the maily list. I bet if I call I can get added again.

Harbor Freight. They are not as nice (if you can call a piece of plastic nice) as the Hansen ones but people on the site use them.

Looks like they are on sale right now. I think they are usually 9.99 per set.

Have had some craftsman hoses for well over 5 years, no problems. One complaint is that they can get your hands all black when putting the hose away...

Because more people buy the shallows. companies rarely reduce the price of their best-selling products, because they lose out more.

I like the look of that 40" creeper. hell of a deal for that, methinks. might have to have one sent accross the pond!

I have 2, a 25 ft and a 75 ft.

I am very happy with both.

Kinking is not a big problem, when they do, they unkink very easily. Coupling at both ends are stronger than what i have seen on other hoses.

My hands never got discolored when using them. Although, unlikely, maybe its because my hands were already dirty from the work I was doing.

I am not positive since i bought mine years ago, but i think they carry the lifetime guarantee

I am sure often overlooked, but I know they are great. I have my pops old 100' and it is great. To my knowledge they even life back them, or that was what I remember anyway. Mine is well over 10yrs old with no issues.

Yup, if you zoom in you can see their guaranteed forever symbol on the packaging.

I might have to pick one up for the back yard.

This is not their father's day sale. Those promos will probably hit later in the month. Unfortunately, they'll likely only be gimmicky gifty type products that are "on sale."

Yeah, even if Sears has nothing for father's day; maybe the wife/gf has a special treat later that night...

They are made by Western Forge. None of my adjustable wrenches are Craftsman but others have said good things about that set.

Argh #@(#@ sears.

I wanted to get some of the Gladiator storage stuff, usually it is "in stock 3-5 days", and you go to the store and pick up your order, as soon as the sale started, now it says out of stock everywhere :(
I don't think a sales can help me as they seem to order through the sears website as well.

Thats what I was hoping for.

Does anyone know if they make the large size 5 piece 1/2" drive sets in six point? I considered picking up a set on Sunday but would prefer six point.
