Homemade creeper seat

Sorry if anybody saw this already on a pick-up forum I visit but:
I got tired of sitting on my 5 gallon bucket to detail and wrench on brakes, wheels, motorcycles, etc. so I got a zero-turn mower take-off seat (those guys mod their stuff too with a suspension seat), a 2x6, some left over plywood, some non-marring swivel casters and a rattle can of rustoleum. I just need to add a cupholder and an ashtray. I'm not gonna lie that it was cheap (probably $85 all together) but it is so much more comfy than anything factory made.

looks nice, where did you buy the seat from? Is it new?

looks good. I'm guessing most of the expense was in the mower seat itself....

edit: make sure you don't fall asleep in it while working on your car!

I found it years ago on ebay at a commercial lawn equipment dealer...but it was local so I didn't have to pay shipping.

I just have an old metal tractor seat bolted to an office chair base.

I'm quite lazy at times. I should make myself a screeper bed; pillows, duvet, the lot.
