This is perhaps one of the finest examples of this ratchet you are likely to find. The chrome has a few spots (you can see the wear on the top of the head), and the normal light chrome wear on the sides of the head, but its solid. There is no rust or corrosion. There are no engravings or owners markings. The lettering is crisp and clear.
The ratchet works perfectly, as good as if it were just rebuilt. It is smooth and has no slop. Most of the 1/2 ratchets from this era are the flat style, which have a terrible feel. This is the first round style handle style Snap-on released, and it has a great feel to it. On the 1/2" ratchets, I would say it has a better feel than the current handle design (unfortunately this handle design doesn't work as well on the smaller 3/8 as well as the current handle!)
Priced to sell, $30 (plus actual shipping), or of course trade offers for other vintage Snap-on tools are welcomed.
