My local "supplier" has recently acquired numerous Brass Spud wrenches of various sizes; some are Proto, others are long gone USA made manufacturers, all are old. They were rather large sizes as well. I do remember one was 1 1/4.
Since I had no Idea what to use them for, I passed.
Any idea what were these used for?

Most likely they are made from "Silicon Bronze" that goes by the trade name Ampco. It a hard non-sparking alloy used in explosive atmospheres typically found in paint or petroleum facilities. They are still available new and their price will make to gasp for cash.

Get me one!! Seriously. I don't care what size. I'm collecting some old tools to go on the wall of my den when it's done. While these aren't "old", they'll fit right in.

No Problem! Will sell you one to a fellow GJ member at cost plus shipping (or for trade for HERBRAND made in USA TOOLS)
Will post pics when I buy them (If they are not already gone!)

I've never seen a wrench like that.
Its a lineup tool. It gets the holes lined up in structural steel members.

Okay, I've seen alignment pins before but never with a wrench on the opposite end. Cool.

I don't have any of these tools but it would be nice to have at least one, probably the adjustable version.

The adjustable ones aren't as handy, at least for ironworker use. The regular open end ones with the offset jaws can reach nuts that are surrounded by others, like in a larger connection with many rows of bolts.
