Well I figured I would start a new thread for this!!!
I guessed that I had 40 snap on ratchets well I have 31 + 1 on the way, so I have 32. This is normal right:headscrat:pimpflash:lol_hitti
If you figure the amount I have sold here lately then I would have a ton more!!! Enjoy:bounce: Merkava beware I did not polish these first:lol_hitti

This is an old par x and a gutted snap on, so 34.

Your PAR-X is interesting; I have a 1/4" I picked up the other day at the flea and I also got a PAR-X "speeder" 3/8" wrench and it has the same handle shape as yours! My 1/4' is just round on the handle with a criss cross pattern; almost looks like just stopped the shaping process on the handle (oh, well... lets just stop here and put some cross hatches there)! Yours are also round, while mine is square coming down from the head and then go round where your hand makes contact with the ratchet. I wonder if they made the 1/4" different from the other sizes or changed to round later?
http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff18/billymade/IMG_6739.jpg
I'm fascinated by the whole PAR-X thing; problem is, I cannot find ANY info about them and I wonder if they had their own catalog or would they be in the 70's era Snapon catalogs?
You have a AMAZING collection! The thing that surprises me, is how most if not all of your ratchets are in mint condition; even the non-sealed models are in incredibly good condition!

So, how did your procure most of your ratchets? The truck, ebay, flea markets, garage sales or pawn shops? I find Snap-On occasionally but they are relatively scarce around here! I generally buy every one I find!
With all those different types in your collection; I think you need to get one of these!

I have bought from all of those sources with the exception of garage sales. Gas prices are to high to cruise those.

Are you going to sell some of them to us? Come on, you do not need 32 ratchets to get job done.

What's the difference between wrenches 3 and 4 from top row left to right?
Are they both FLF80'S? One looks a little different.

Well, mine are not as shiny as Wrenchr's by any means, but here are the ratchets from my vintage collection. They range from the very first snap on 1/2 ratchet from 1925-26, to some military ratchets from the 60's, and even a late 70's dealer ratchet (which youve all seen on here before).
http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg59/cesinc123/rat_collection.jpg
And then here are the early ratcheting adaptors. The first one (upper left) is 1920-1921, the (upper right) 1922, and then the bottom row is 1923-1928.
The middle row is the mystery one. This style is about 3/16 shorter than the most common version (bottom row), and what you see here are 3 of only 5 known to exist.
The two tools on the right are ratcheting adaptors used in conjunction with a plug type ratchet to move it faster.

The bottom speeder ratchet in the pic is the perhaps the most desirable and valuable ratchet in the picture, second to the 7/8 ratchet at the very top. The larger speeder ratchet, RS4L, is from the early 50's, and can sell for over $200 on ebay, last one went for over $150. The 1939 RS-4 (lower one) is the rarest of all 4 versions of the speeder ratchet.

Yes my father worked at IBM and got property passes for two boxes(when laid off) and he gave me his, minues the snap on tools... The box does have the metal roll down door and a side compartment, I think made in 79 or 80, it is a KRA-300F. I think he said with tools they were 3200 at that time new.

I can see the 1/4" one for under dash work (used the spinners on my Craftsman round head ratchets for), but I don't see much use otherwise.
