Williams/Snap~on screwdrivers

After finding the link about Powertoolbox, and the 6 piece hard handled screwdrivers, I ordered both sets.

They called yesterday, and I got to call them back this morning. Williams was moving back in December, and that fell through. They have subed out them, currently, but they have been short on production, he said it was in particular two sizes.
The guy I spoke to offered another set (sounds like the instinct handles), and I asked if they had canceled the hard ones. He replied they had not, and I asked if they could hold my order; They would.

So, when Williams finally gets moved, maybe we will see production up to snuff, and you guys can overpay the tool truck again.
I'll wait.

It took a total of 3 weeks to get them ... Initially they (all2ools) said they did not stock and would have to order and that it may take a month or so ... a week later, I got a email saying the order was complete (with UPS tracking number) ... and it arrived another week later. Great price, great screwdrivers ... :)

The plant that made them was going to move. So either not all of them are currently in production (the two 6 piece sets), or they do small runs of a couple of them (which is delaying shipping).

I am just happy they called to tell me that and offer alternatives, rather then just a typical retailer, and canceling, and then you have to wait for money back.:rolleyes:

I was going to order the two sets myself. $74 for 12 drivers, older style Snap handles. I wonder if the steel and finishing of the actual driver is as good as Snap? Those sets are the cheapest I can find on the internet. We'll see if my order goes through.

Thanks for the info. I was looking to but a set on EBAY , the vendor was in Alaska. The only size available was large (the size of a small crowbar.) Now I know why.

Just looked at the sets on Powertoolbox, and they look good. But if in the future one was defective or just ruined by mis-use, how would you go about getting a replacement?
