I have a bunch of Lista stuff. I'm in South Jersey, too. I should have everything installed (finally) in a couple of weeks.

I got my stuff through a dealer out of state. No tax and I picked them up myself in Mass. and saved a bundle. I would suggest you do the same if it's a big order.

thanks, can you give me the name of the dealer and did you design your own layout or did he help you with that. Were they priced less than Griots or did you just save the shipping. based on Griots pricing I'm looking at around $15,000 don't know if thats considered a big order thanks Larry

sboxs-
If you can p/u out of state and save the tax-you'll save $1000 just in tax-that plus shipping =big bucks. As far as installation-how hard can it be?
Even if you had to borrow/rent a truck, you'd be way ahead.

Tell them Eric sent you. Shop around. You should be able to go to any out of state dealer and place an order. This guy gave me the best price. He's a small dealer, which in this case, worked out to my advantage. The more product a dealer orders from Lista, the better it is for the dealer/Lista relationship.

I had the majority of the design down, but he helped me fine tune it. Unless you're a Lista expert, having a knowledgable dealer is priceless since they'll know all of the options available to you...some of which never make it to the catalog.

I got mine for way less than Griot's. Griot's Lista stuff is priced in line with the rest of Griot's stuff...pretty high. If you go through a dealer, you get a ton of more options than Griot's offers at a lower price.

$15K is a big order. I think I saved about 20% of list price with my order. If you order everything at once, that's where you save the most. I wouldn't be surprised if you could get the same stuff for around $11-12K or less.

Also, I was quoted a shipping price of $1200. I picked up a Ryder truck (the biggest one they rent...I think 24 foot) drove up and picked it up in one day and saved about $800.

Lista has so many products and combinations of products that it would be a chore building a retail website better than their catalogs. In most cases, I end up putting together a cabinet or combination that suit the users needs better than the pre-configured ones in their catalogs.

I have been a Lista dealer since 1996 and have personally used and installed a lot of cabinets. I have 60+ cabinets on display and stock over $10,000 in Lista accessories. I also offer some generous Customer Incentive Programs (ie, deep discounts on complementary products) which are tied to Lista and other tool/equipment purchases. Give me a call if I can be of assistance. Steve D

I bought my 4x8' sheets of FRP from Home Depot (around $25/sheet). They are the .090 thickness Glasteel product. A word of caution....they will yellow with UV exposure. SD (sboxs - if you want a quicker response from me, its best to email me directly. I just had major surgery 2 days ago and I'm only checking some of the forum discussions today for the first time since the procedure.)

ultgar hope all is well with you

Thanks guys.....a lot of personal distractions (2 neuro and 2 orthopedic surgeries) over the past 16 months may explain why I get cranky at times on this and other lists. Hope to put this behind me soon so I can finish my own garage and start a few others. Steve
