Nice vise! I like the double nut that appears to be the backlash adjustment for the screw.

The grooves behind the fixed jaw must be for forming hot round bar. Their shape is designed to keep the round stock from working its way up out of the groove.

nope, but afterwards i felt like a butt. i went to buyer and offered 50 more, no way was the answer. must be hard to find, i been buying at lower prices and not used to paying more at a sale with knowledgeable competition. maybe next time.
