View Full Version : Master Ratchet Accessories
Can someone please explain a bit more how to use these accessories. Are these useful and on what situations.

I can see how the angle drives would come in useful but it would have to be a very hard to reach spot. I can't remember a situation where I would have used them. I use drive adaptors very, very rarely and I would think the extra length on these would be a problem.
The 1/4 thumbwheel can be useful but if you have a thumbwheel ratchet you really wouldn't need this.
One thing is for sure, I won't be rushing out to buy these.
Do you think the 3/8 angle drives will be useful if together with crowfoot wrenches?

I have a 1/4 angle drive like that that was made by Lisle, it is probably 25 years old and I only use it about once a year but when you need it nothing else will work.

I second Merkava's statement. I've been wrenching, designing and engineering for over twenty-five years on large coastal construction projects (and even working my own cars too) and I never needed that stuff. Forget about it.

LOL. Yeah. You know I'm in a slightly better position now because I already acquired most of the basic mechanic stuff I will need plus a bit more. Thanks to all you guys because somehow I had stretched my budgets and got its worth and more because of the valuable information you all shared.

I have had the angle adapter in my hands a year or so back but I just could not bring myself to buy them, they just did not pass the sniff test for me.
