That's a little over the top..

Wow, must have been a former dealer or something! Looks like most are "prizes" for dealers that had high sales ratings. The only thing that is interesting to me is the early reproduction set 3rd photo down; the rest... meh.

Passion for sale at a secret reserve price no less. Pretty shabby listing for such an extensive collection of rare Snap-On goods.

He would do 100 times better to list it item by item and ship stuff.

Listings like that make me feel like I should rent out my services. I'd milk that collection for all it was worth.

I wouldnt call very much of that rare. Every one of the items comes up on ebay fairly often (even the replica tool set), and generally, this stuff doesnt fetch much money. Anything made to be a collectable will likely not be collectable years down the line. Its the items that were historically significant, got worn out and tossed, that are now rare, and collectable.

Well, I did not mean 1920's rare but to the average Joe that's some rare or least very collectible stuff. But more to the point, that's a collection better suited to be sold off in pieces or in small blocks rather than a whole unless of course someone made a generous offer for the whole set.

You're right Chad, but the "novelty factor" associated with these things makes them very appealing. From a true collector's point of view it's questionable, but there is a fun side to this man's collection.
