Mobile chop saw station?

Has anybody here made or know of links to designs on mobile chop saw stations?

But I want something where the outfeed rollers are on seperate stands. And I would prefer a rolling cabinet design for the saw as I would like to also use it for a metal cutoff saw.

I have built stationary stations but I want something I can easly move out of the way if I want to work on my truck in the garage.

Yeah.....I've seen similar and simpler ones made of wood which are placed on sawhorses when in use.

Why not just build a base cabinent and add two old lawnmower wheels on one side and a handle on the other. Then use a pair of the adjustable height outfeed rollers from a home builder's supply house. Storage for your abrasive saw and blades can be inside the cabinent doors. A power strip and a built in extension cord and holder can be added on the back for the ultimate convience

I built this mobile work center a couple of years ago. The cabinet was dropped off the truck during shipping. The left front corner was blown open and the toe board was split. It was a $450.00 dollar unit and I got it for $80.00. I built drawers for the top three dummy fronts, added a frame and casters and wired an extension cord into an outlet on the right front. I use this thing more then my stationary bench...
Lots of storage also.

Well, if you haven't purchased a metal chop saw yet or if you want another, I highly recommend the DeWalt "Cold Cut" 14" Multi-cutter DW872 chop saw. I have been installing various systems that require Unistrut steel channel and this saw cuts it like butter ... no sparks and no deburring - amazing saw!

I think I'm going to built a rolling cabinet. I have some spare MDF that could work well for this.

Hey Cannoli, I was thinking about a cold cut saw. Have you tried it on aluminum?

Though I typically cut steel with this saw, occasionally I cut aluminum angle and bar. The carbide tipped blade works well with the aluminum. Basically, the saw acts like a milling machine. This saw is ideal for cutting metals to accurate dims without post-cut deburring.

I place my chopsaw on my Black and Decker folding table and place it just outside of my garage door. Cutting metal leaves alot of dust and dirt to clean up inside

at the body shop we used an old craftsman roller box and mounted the saw to the top , got 13 drawers to store stuff and its at the right height and very stable too.
