Its seems like a ventless propane heater is a good option for those of us who want a warm garage, but don’t have the $$ to buy a nice Modine Hot Dawg or whatnot.

However, those ventless heaters produce water vapor. Anyone have any experience with exactly how much water vapor they put out? Is it enough to start causing rust on tools and cars?

Anyone ever used a dehumidifier in conjunction with a ventless heater, to keep the vapor out of the air?

I’m looking at one to heat my ~1200 sq ft garage.

I have a 1000 sq ft garage and use a 30k btu natural gas ventless heater.. the majority of the water vapor was on the ceiling in the form of water drops.. until I brought the dehumidifier up from the basement.. problem solved..
