I was at the hardware store today...and seen scentlees fuel for kerosene heaters. anyone try this stuff out yet?

No, but I will definitely try it if I can find it around here. What hardware store chain? Ace, True Value?

The only way I have of heating the garage is with a kerosene torpedo heater. I only use the grade K-1 and it's not too bad already but I wouldn't mind trying the scentless. I know that some people really complain about the smell but when you ask them what they're using they say home heating oil or even diesel. Then you wonder why they're complaining about the fumes! :lol:

They don't complain because in their home, the heater/furnace exhausts the products of combustion (smoke, CO, etc.) up the chimney instead of into the living area like your kerosene heater .

I saw some of that at HD too. Price was around $5 per gallon can. I assumed it was for decorative (or emergency use) kerosene lamps at that price.
