For a Pneumatic nailer the Hitachi products are very good and are used by many profesionals.
Iv'e had an NR 83A for several years, its a full head and works great.

My bro in law has been a framer since 1979 and swears by the Hitachi.

I've had a Campbel Hausfield for ten years not without a problem. It was $100 cheaper than a Senco or Bostich when I bought it. It see's only part time use.

I've been a contractor for 21 years. The Hitachi is the best gun I've owned. It's light, well balanced. When I switched from Bostich to Hitachi one reason was the price of nails. Only problem I've had is when nailing strapping and using 8D ring shanks I can only use one rack of nails at a time, otherwise the second rack rides up over the first and jams the gun. A friend just bought some Senco's and claims their better than his Hitachi. I'd stay away from a Porter Cable gun. One of my subs had one and it could not sink a 16D nail.

His PC gun must not have been working properly. I've had one for about 8 years or so and can only think of one time mine didn't bury the nail and sink the head 1/4" into the framing - I found it was starved for air. I'm not a fulltime contractor, but I've done a few renovation projects with it.
