I see Mac now has these in their new catalog. Anybody have some of these? If so, I have 2 questions;

1. How do they work?
2. How well do they work?

Thanks

They sell those at the junk tool dealers at Carlisle and other swaps for $5 each. Seeing that MAC is now selling re-labeled asian tools, I wouldnt be surprised if they aren't the exact same tool from the same source.

I was thinking the exact same thing...
I would buy the $5 junk one just to try it, i wouldnt buy the mac one

I think those are made by Cal-Van tools. They always looked hokey to me and with all of the things you can do with a gearwrench and adapters, probably obsolete as well today.

I looked one over once, but really could not convince myself it was something I needed in my box. I would pass unless you really feel the need to own it.

I have a Blue-Piont adapter that will do that along with alot more. It is basically 2 joints at 45degrees that have a bevel gear in them. I will get a picture of it posted tomorrow.

Get a SkewDriver and then use your hex-to-1/4 ratchet adaptor in the chuck. Not a 90 degree angle, but actually more useful unless you have a very specific application.

They do offer a heavy-duty 90 degree model as well.

Made in the USA, I think....could be wrong on that.

They have (or had) them at Sears... you can go play with one and see what you think. I, for one, think that they are ridiculous...
