Maybe they're just not ripe yet ... maybe if they sit out a little while they'll turn into 80 tooths. :D

I've reported numerous fraudulent auctions, and it never did much. I reported one auction a dozen times and it just kept coming back. I wish eBay would grow a pair and do something about these things.

The listings are certainly incorrect but they may not be intentionally fraudulent. When you search old models on the Snap-on site it will take you to the latest model. This is not a valid excuse for putting misinformation in a listing but I think this is the main reason this occurs so often. It is always best to assume that sellers on eBay know nothing about the items they are selling and do your own research.

It's not just the accidental or oversight things, but the HF tools that say "for the Craftsman" that one power seller puts out by the hundreds every week that eBay won't discipline. You can complain until the cows come home, but nothing ever happens. If you don't believe me, complain about over 200 auctions from the same seller in a week and watch them keep coming back day after day.

I think the listings are probably more inaccurate than fraudulent. As with everything sold on ebay, it's buyer beware. How many times have we scored a great deal because the seller listed the item incorrectly either through spelling, incorrect drive size, or not knowing the true purpose of the item, etc? I have gotten my best deals that way. I didn't cry fraudulent listing then and I wouldn't now in these cases. You could send an email to the seller explaining that the auction model numbers don't match up with the current dual 80 models but, the seller probably won't change the listing. Search for snap on ratchets on ebay and you'll find several auctions for the 80 series ratchets that are the older 36 or 30 tooth models. If I even think I see screw heads on top of the ratchet, I keep on moving to the next auction.

Excellent! I hope that notion spreads to other buyers because it'll give me a better shot at the 936's. :D

Maybe you don't know, but that 710 auction has been canceled several times due to the 80 tooth thing. It just comes right back unchanged every time.

I just love when a auction uses these words to describe the item, but doesn't show the damages.... All are new or slightly used with no abuse. Any id marks removed.

I have a problem with this auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&viewitem=&item=130203191010

That jack is not made in the USA but instead in Taiwan. I have sent messages three times and even called my special ebay 800 number once but nothing has happened. Spose the FTC would do anything? maybe i should buy it and then make them take it back?
