Decent MAC Knuckle Saver deals this Month

Saw these on the new monthly flyer for MAC. I plan on replacing my kobalt sets with these this month. :bowdown:

The deals are in the eye of the beholder I guess. I know they're a bargain and they're great wrenches but, I don't think I could bring myself to pay $315 for a 10-19mm wrench set even on sale. I'd try to find an upgrade on ebay. :beer:

It seems like a good deal I have never used Macs "knuckle savers" but have a few sets of their regular wrenches and like them, looking at the fliers I'm glad I don't have access to a Mac rep. lottsa good stuff in them lol

Macs wrenchs are top notch!! I like them more than my snap on's!!

With Mac tools age matters alot as they have moved a large amount of tools from US made to Taiwan made, some how they forgot to adjust the price to the customer when they got their discount. I'm sure they just are to busy to make a new price sheet for US tools and Taiwan tools The new stuff mostly being made off shore, which is fine but I will not pay US/MAC Tools price for MAC Tools/Taiwan tools, why not just keep what you have or call Mike Wren for Toptul wrenches and save a couple hundred dollars for Taiwan tools.

The MAC wrenches are still made in the US, which is another reason I am going to get some soon.

i have alot of Mac Tools myself but they are the US made ones so I am all for it if it is what you want and the price is right and I hope it has USA stamped in the wrench

Well I get more of a discount through a family member which is why I am jumping on them this month. If they do not say USA I will be getting some on ebay or heading to Sears.

As far as I know, the knuckle savers are still US made. The Mac Edge wrenches are made in Taiwan.:thumbup:

I have a couple of newer MAC Knuckle Saver wrenches. The beams on mine have very sharp edges making them rather uncomfortable to use. I don't know if they are all that way or if mine are just a bad batch. All of my old MAC wrenches are fine though.

What is it with all of these companies wanting to make the edges sharp? I have some from several different makes that are like that. Very uncomfortable to pull or push on.

I catch your drift. I want to save the inside of my knuckles, too.
Like pulling on a dull butterknife as you mentioned before.

Mine are the long ones. Specific part # is SML19KS "19 Pc. Metric Long KS2 Combination Wrench Set In Kit Bag".

I do not find the edges of wrenches 'sharp.' In fact, I find them extremely comfortable to use. The shape of the beam was probably the biggest reason I chose them over Snap-Ons, I must admit, however, that the edges are definately not as rounded as those of a Cornwell, Bonney or even older Mac wrench. Try before you buy I guess.

My MAC edge ratchet wrenches are very nice, even though they are taiwanese, but I think the edges of the wrench are similar and I like them way better than my rounded edge Kobalt wrenches, but they are very cheap so..... I guess I will try some out on the truck one day
