Searched for this topic both here and on the interwebs, found nothing that answers the question.

I'm installing eight of these in the garage:

48" Lithonia T8 strip lights (http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=100543144&N=10000003+90039+502059).

Configuration is four rows of two continuous strips. For some reason, I'm letting myself become unsure of how to wire together the units in each strip.

The circuit's not finished yet and I want to be sure I've done it correctly before throwing the breaker! :shocking:

Here's how the fixtures are wired, seems correct to me. Tell me if I'm wrong:

Power goes from panel, to switch, to fixtures.

Two fixtures in each strip; L1 = fixture 1, L2 = fixture 2

L2 mounted "continuous" to L1

Power enters L1.

Pigtail hot, neutral, and ground from L2, carry pigtails into L1

Connect L2 pig tails, L1 wires, incoming power, and outgoing power
All hots together, all neutrals together, all grounds together.

Outgoing power continues to next strip.

This should be obvious, but for some reason, the fact that they're continuous strips is throwing me a curve ball.

Thanks for any and all advice!

I would suggest feeding power from the panel to L1. Run a cable from L1 to the switch.
if the next row is to be on the same circuit, then run from L1 to the first fixture in the next row. You can run separate switches for each row

I was taught by an old electrician to always feed the fixture, not the switch. This gives you future flexibility if you ever want to add a ceiling fan, garage door opener, motion sensitive light, etc.

My garage has 3 rows of six, 4' double t-8 fixtures. All fed from one 15 amp circuit and each row switched separately.

Joe, I believe you have it right(if I deciphered your description correctly).
