We're starting to get some bad language on the board. I don't like to see the 'S' word or the 'F' word; I think it cheapens the board. I noticed that one guy today even had the 'S' word in his signature; that's disgusting IMO.

+1 for activating the swear filter!

I saw the f word earlier today and it struck me as odd.

Still, the people on this forum are among the most polite strangers that I've ever encountered online. It's so much more refreshing than on computer forums where curses are thrown around all over the place. Even on the boards that have active filters, seeing **** gets annoying, as do the people that try to circumvent the censors 1ike th15.

LOL I feel like we are in 4th grade, the "S" word and the dreaded "F" word. Seriously though, no reason for totally filthy mouths, but come on the "S" word is not a big deal. I guess logistically speaking it's much easier to filter all curse words.

My 8th grade teacher had a saying that has stayed with me. " Profanity is a weak mind trying to express itself forcefully".

When I see those posts littered with profanity like S or F or even abbreviations like WTF I stop reading immediately and check another post. Other times the S word is sometimes used as an "expletive" of disappointment etc and I can understand that.

This strikes me as odd coming from a guy that was just talking about spooging in his Pajamas and typing fricken, we all know fricken means F'in. I could care less about either, Just busting some chops

This is the only forum I visit that allows it. I don't use that type of language in posts but I don't really care too much when others do. At least it's standard English.

What bothers me more is posting with text message abbreviations and lack of punctuation. If you want me to read it don't expect me to translate it - if your too lazy to type it then I'm too lazy to read it.

Good point, I don't really care either. There are alot of porcupines on the board, calling other people prickly.
