I'm going to head to Home Depot tomorrow to purchase the 1/2"copper gas line. I want to use rigid pipe and a shut-off behind the heater to up into the ceiling. Then use the copper to run up in the ceiling and down the wall to the tank outside. What am I going to need to connect the line to the tank or will the propane company supply that?
thanks

I hard piped in 3/4 black iron using drop ells (rust collectors) at every pipe drop. The iron was run all the way from heater across ceiling, down outer wall, and thru the bottom of my back garage wall. The back of my garage rests 5 foot above the normal dirt grade where I have placed 2 300 lb tanks for propane. The Propane company provided the regulator and made the connection from the tanks to the inlet of black iron pipe. Hope this helps. I love the heater! Been using it for two heating seasons no problems!

Your Hot Dawg should have come with a spec sheet on what to use. My suggestion is to follow it to the letter so if you should have a problem later the manufacturer and the insurance company would not hassle you. I.M.H.O.
