My buddy stopped over last night and gave me 3 screwdrivers made by Apex in Germany. #3 & #1 Phillips and a bit driver. They look like Wera copy to me

They have a real nice grip to them and are beefy, I asked him where he got them and I could not believe it, he got them at the $ Store :lol_hitti they are all stamped made in germany. The bit driver is really nice being magnetic and it also has the retaining ring. Almost need a pair of pliers to change the bit.

I did a quick search of the net but came up empty.
Wish I had a #2 phillips to try out.
Here is a couple pics.

They look to be Wera screwdrivers made for Apex (they are good screwdrivers). Apex makes bits and sockets for industral and production use (again really good stuff) but their production is located in the US.

I bought a set or 5 of those in hex sizes at a fleamarket. Wish I had gotten them all...

My dad has been using my recently acquired insulated Wera set for wiring some more lights in the garage. He loves them, which is good, because I got him a set for Christmas.

Wow, did he get them recently?? If so, ask him which dollar store he got them from... I'd like to find some of those.

(Edit: bchee, looks like you beat me to it by 1 minute...)

(more edit: just did a quick search and it looks like "Apex Quality hand tools" is a division of Cooper Tools....)

I have a few Apex 3/8 impact swivels. They swivel at a pretty steep angle.Does anybody know if they still make them? They were nice for lighter stuff.

Looks like they still make them, mostly for production line service, they are NOT cheap.

Couldn't find any of the screwdrivers like the OP posted.

those are the wera lasertip style handle, can tell by the shape and rubber pads.

For a $ iots a bargain, get down there buy them all and sell them on for profit.

If anyone finds a #2 phillips I'll gladly give you a extra $ and shipping

The more I mess with the bit driver the more I like it :bounce:
