AFAIK, I believe the Professional line has a lifetime warranty: maybe some one that owns one of these can confirm. I cannot seem to find any warranty info online or in the paper catalog.
I don't want to sound like a broken record but give these guys a call, they probably can give you the warranty info or transfer you to someone who can help:

Looking at THIS (http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00965566000P) 36" Craftsman Professional 7 drawer tool cart, it says "General Warranty: Limited lifetime" on the specs tab. It looks like you need to fill out the form HERE (http://www.sears.com/shc/s/nb_10153_12608_NB_CSwarrantyinformation?adCell=A3) for more information on the warranty.

it has lifetime warranty but limited.... you may need call sears corp to see what it need to do because i did read the paper that inside of brand new professional boxes at sears that displaying. it said limited lifetime warranty and if you have a problem then return it to nearest sears store for repair or replacement... :headscrat:headscrat:headscrat

It should be warrantied, the toolboxes are. I got two new slides after I was a tard (not a good idea to try and install a really heavy drawer back into the slides on your own).

If we're talking about the Craftsman clone of the Waterloo Magnum, It carries a limited lifetime warranty. I don't know what documentation you would need to file a claim or if you would need to empty it out and take to Sears.

Keep us up to date on this thread... I don't think I've ever seen anyone here have an entire box warrantied. I'd be curious to see how Sears handles this.

limited warranty to me means material and workmanship. the failure you have to me qualifies for that.
let them know about the need for it at work and that you cannot be without it.
I would start at your local sears and see what the manager wants to do (if anything).
if they want to jack you around a bit then you could buy another one from them and use it while you wait and then return it after you are done (under their 30day complete satisfaction line)

Excellent! Thats good news for anyone concerned about buying/using a craftsman box in a more professional type environment. At least they are standing behind their product. Certainly let us know (and post pics of course ;)..) when you get the new one!

Well here is were I stand right now.
The sears store in the mall 35 miles away turned out to not be much help, I called to talk to the manager the next day and she didn't know what I was talking about. So I went through the whole thing again with her and then she said that she would get back to me. Well she had called me back on the 18th and gave me the number of the manufacture. I am assuming Waterloo, I did not call them as I had just went to my local Sears hardware store that day to pick up my side cabinet for the box in question. They were going to look into it for me.
Ok now today I am laid up at home after having surgery on my foot on Friday and the local sears calls to get the model number because they have a list of the models that have the lifetime warranty. now I am waiting again. I think that the local store will come through for me because I have purchased a 5 drawer roll-a-way, a gladiator Gear box and now the side cabinet from them.
Will try to update sooner.

Why don't you just call the phone number on the yellow sheet that came with the box?

Well I am trying to see if I can get the box replaced with a Blue one. they didn't offer the blue when I got it and the side cabinet I ordered is blue, I had planned to repair the corner and Paint it blue.

Got a Call from Sears today, my Box is black, they only had black and red when i got mine, last year I got a deal on the intermedite chest in blue, and in november I purchased the side cabinet in blue as well, was planning on repairing the weld and painting the box blue to match the other boxes, they have a Blue Box coming to replace my Black one!!
Now I just need to get some more welding work to get the Locker.

Cool! Be sure to post some pics when you get everything back together in the shop! While this was a major hassle getting that thing warranted; it looks like a "blessing in disguise" as all your boxes will be matching blue color! Cool! :)

Was the replacement box sent to you or did you pick it up from a store. What happened to the old box.

I had the local Sears hardware store order the replacement. I asked them what will happen to the old one and they did not know.

Happy ending indeed!! I'm amazed that you were able to get a blue unit out of them too. I didn't know production of the Magnum type boxes had moved to Mexico too. I thought it was just their regular boxes.:(
