Wiha heavy duty micro finish ?

These are the black ones with the metal end cap. What shape is a cross section of these handles? Are they round? Or does it have some slight lobes or shape about them? Also, I am assuming the handle texture is sandpaper like; has anyone worn this texture off or down? As I am waiting for the Wiha 40pc. Proffesional soft grip set to go on sale again I thought I would purchase these, as these should compliment any set without being redundent in application as they are a heavy duty alternative.

I'm about 95% sure they're round and not tri-lobular.

The middle section with the non slip grip is eight sided. It's not a true octagon. Four sides are twice as wide as the spaces between each side. It makes for a good grip. I don't think it's possible to wear the finish off through normal use. I've had a set for over ten years and the finish is still nonslip.
