I'm looking for a book similiar to the step by step wiring guides found in HD and Lowes but only for garages/pole buildings. I want to do my own electrical but I would like some type of written help for a novice. Of course, I would have my work checked before flipping the power on as I did this for my 220for my compressor/lift. I have been unsucessful in finding anything.
Thanks!

The larger DIY electrical books should have all you need to know for lighting hookups. Otherwise just get an electrician buddy to come in and hold your hand to get you started.

This is an updated version of the book I used for my pole barn. Most of the stuff is the same as in a house. Outlets Swithes and Lights are all the same.

I have one of the big box store books but I was looking for something tailored to a pole building. Being a novice, I also don't want to end up with "I should have done this" outcome. Especially, since I intend to use all conduit.

Thats the nice thing about conduit. If you want to change somethin, it is easy to do for the most part :)

don't limit yourself to data on garages -- there is a great deal of good material that's aimed at woodworkers -- very detailed, specific, but what goes on in the shop makes no difference after it's wired up.
