I'm not sure if this is a good deal or not, it seems like a hell of a deal considering what crap boxes go for these days, i'd buy it if it was local.

That is a running joke at the Dealer Auction. When a car with some big dents or the paint pealing off goes through the auctioneers say that will buff right out. :lol_hitti

I heard a friend who did a lot of body work say the same thing. I was in his shop when a smashed car was pushed in and he said, "Well, that should buff out no problem." I actually looked at him for just a second to see if we were looking at the same thing.

:lol_hitti Yep we defentaly use "that will buff out" in the autobody biz. And on the worst of the wrecks. But to the OP that is the same box one of the guys in my shop has he has had it since brand new and it holds a ton of stuff. its a nice box and not a bad price if you ask me.

Friend of mine just smashed his pristine Bullitt Mustang sideways into a guardrail after slidding on some ice on the on ramp... First thing out of the other guy's mouth we were with...
"It'll buff"
Car was totalled.

I'd make the road trip if my personal economic situation was a little better. For now I'll have to feed my tool habit through yard sales and flea markets.

On a more realistic note, you could take that out with a dolly, hammer and some time. I've had to repair boxes that were worse and they came out OK. Need to respray it too, of course.
